Boundaries:

Greene County, Tennessee is the third largest county in the State and currently
has a population of 62,909
with an additional 16,000 living inside the "city limits"
There are 615 square miles within Greene County
There are 1,210 miles of roadways in Greene County

The Greene County Sheriff's Department Personel consists of
one hundred forty full time employees

eight part-time employees
and ten auxillary deputies

Of the one hundred forty full time employees
Fifty-eight are assigned to the "Sheriff's Department"
and Eighty-two are assigned to the "Detention Center"

Patrol- The patrol division currently consists of thirty-nine uniformed officers 
Thirty-one are assigned to "routine patrol" 
Four officers are assigned to "civil process"
Three officers are assigned to the "Dare" program        
One officer is assigned to the
"Third Judicial Drug Task Force"

   Dispatch- Five officers are assigned to full time "dispatch"

    Records- One Lieutenant and two records 0fficers       
       are assigned to this department
